Profile of the group
| Ter Beke is an innovating Belgian fresh food group that commercialises
its assortment in ten European countries. The group has two core
activities: processed meats and fresh ready meals. It has ten plants
in Belgium, the Netherlands and France and employs approximately
1.800 persons. In 2008 Ter Beke realized a turnover of 393 million
EUR. Ter Beke is listed on Euronext Brussels. |

Processed Meats Division: TerBeke-Pluma
- producer of processed meats for the Benelux area, the United
Kingdom and Germany
- 4 production sites in Belgium (Wommelgem, Waarschoot, Marche-en-Famenne
and Herstal) and 6 centres for slicing and packaging of processed
meats of which 3 are located in Belgium (Wommelgem, Marche-en-Famenne
and Veurne) and 3 in the Netherlands (Milsbeek, Ridderkerk
and Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht)
- innovating in the pre-packed processed meats segment
- strong in salami, cooked ham, processed poultry, pâté and
cooked meats and also present in dried and cured meats
- distribution brands and principal own brand names L’Ardennaise® and
Daniël Coopman®
- employs approximately 1.050 persons
Ready Meals Division: Freshmeals
- produces fresh ready meals for the European market
- market leader in chilled lasagne in Europe
- 3 production sites of which 2 are in Belgium (Wanze and Marche-en-Famenne)
and 1 in France (Alby-sur-Chéran)
- principal brand names are Come a casa®, Pronto® and Vamos®,
in addition to distribution brands
- employs approximately 750 persons
