PRESS RELEASE

Update 3rd Quarter 2004

Waarschoot, 15 November 2004.

The fresh food group Ter Beke, producer of chilled ready meals and processed meats, confirms the expectations set for 2004.

Update 3rd quarter 2004

After the third quarter of 2004, Ter Beke confirms that the prospects formulated when the half-year results were announced will be achieved.
The market environment has remained unchanged since the communication of September 2004. One new fact however is that some raw material prices rose significantly as a result of a sudden increase in demand from Eastern Europe. Ter Beke responded by adapting the sales prices, which are being introduced according to agreements. This should allow Ter Beke to realise the results forecasted earlier for 2004.
In the third quarter of 2004, the earlier-announced investments in both the Come a Casa brand and the production infrastructure were implemented as planned.
