Ter Beke first quarter 2006 results in line with expectations
Waarschoot, 12 May 2006.
During the first quarter of 2006 the fresh
food group Ter Beke, producer of fresh ready meals and processed meats, built
further on the results of 2005.
Update Q1 06
In the first quarter of 2006 Ter Beke achieved the turnover targets set for
both its processed meats and ready meals activities. The results for the first
quarter of 2006 lie in line with expectations, notwithstanding still-rising
energy prices.
Ter Beke announced earlier that in 2006 it would continue to invest in its
production system and in the long-term expansion of its market position, both in
the Ready Meals Division and in the Processed Meats Division. In the first
quarter of 2006 Ter Beke already implemented a large share of its total 2006
investment programme, which amounts to around 14 million EUR, both in production
and in further support for the Come a casa brand.
Prospects
Barring unforeseeable market conditions, Ter Beke expects further endogenous
growth for the full year.
